After the shock of moving to the nodeBB, I am trying to go back to a project I have been working on which is going over past wikis, and deciding whether there are more interesting pages to import.
Currently, I have gone over all the pages of Suicide Wiki, and I am trying to resolve todos that arise from it. Small todos I just resolve immediately, either by copying the page, or deciding not to copy it. For Todos which would take signification time - I just create a Todo on one of the relevant wiki pages.
However I have some issues I would like feedback on.
History of Sodium Nitrite and Sodium Azide Suicide Methods has already been copied to our wiki. However, this article, which is just about the history of how these methods were developed, manages to be scathingly critical of Philip Nitschke(!!) a prominent pro-choice activist. This seems unjustified to me. Can I edit the article to remove the criticism, or just leave it as is? Alternatively, I could remove the page entirely, if we don't think it is interesting.
Censorship - this goes over several suicide cases (Suzanne Michelle Gonzales, Shawn Alexandra Shatto and Callie Alix Lewis) from numerous countries. These people supposedly used pro-choice internet forums. The page critically analyzes the reactions to these cases by families, media and politicians, and the legislation that has been passed to prevent additional cases. It also covers censorship of pro-choice forums in different countries. The cases themselves are interesting, but in many places this articles is unreadable and portrays pro-lifers in a too evil light. Perhaps this article might be interesting after a significant rewrite. I don't know what to do. Should we copy it or not?
What do you think about these two pages?
